Elevating Cannabis Quality Through Education

Educator, Scientist, Advocate

In today's rapidly evolving cannabis landscape, access has surged ahead of understanding. While dispensary shelves are stocked with a myriad of products, many consumers, caregivers, and even healthcare professionals find themselves navigating this green frontier without a reliable compass. That's where SafeCannabis.Info steps in.

This platform is the culmination of my journey through the realms of food science, cannabis therapeutics, and quality assurance. With a Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University, I've delved deep into the principles of hazard analysis, contamination control, and regulatory compliance. These foundations seamlessly transitioned into the cannabis sector, where I've taken on roles in product R&D, extraction, and dispensary supervision.

Further enriching my expertise, I am a Certified Ganjier and an MS candidate in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics at the University of Maryland. These experiences have solidified my commitment to bridging the knowledge gap in cannabis quality and safety.

SafeCannabis.Info is designed to demystify the complexities of cannabis testing. Through interactive lessons, state-by-state regulatory breakdowns, and clear visual guides, this platform empowers you to:

  • Interpret Certificates of Analysis (COAs) with confidence.

  • Understand potential contaminants like pesticides, microbes, and heavy metals.

  • Recognize the true indicators of product quality beyond just THC percentages.

By blending scientific rigor with accessible education, SafeCannabis.Info aims to foster a more informed and health-conscious cannabis community.

Offered by the University of Maryland, Baltimore, this is the first and only Master of Science program in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to medical cannabis. Designed for healthcare professionals, scientists, and cannabis industry leaders, the program integrates online instruction with in-person symposia. Coursework covers cannabinoid pharmacology, clinical uses of cannabis, adverse effects, drug interactions, and public health considerations. It also explores legal, ethical, and regulatory issues shaping the medical cannabis landscape. The interdisciplinary approach prepares graduates to influence practice, policy, education, and research in the evolving field of medical cannabis science.

The Ganjier program is a rigorous, professional certification designed to develop elite cannabis service experts, similar to sommeliers in wine. Created by leading figures in the cannabis industry, the curriculum combines sensory evaluation, product knowledge, and client consultation training. Students learn to assess cannabis flower and concentrates using a standardized system that evaluates appearance, aroma, flavor, and effects. The program includes online coursework, an in-person training intensive in Humboldt County, California, and a final exam. Graduates earn the Certified Ganjier designation, equipping them to guide consumers and businesses in selecting high-quality cannabis products with precision and professionalism.
